2021 INTERNATIONAL JURY


HYASH TANMOY
INDIA

Hyash Tanmoy identifies himself as a filmmaker, trans-disciplinary thinker/ researcher, creative entrepreneur, and social/cultural anthropologist with a diverse approach to gender equality, non-discrimination, racism, culture and heritage conservation, historical and architectural preservation, economic improvement through multi-layered human race development. His majors are surrounded by new media, cinema, fashion, photography, research, and archival management, curating, and idealization. His interest in global politics, international relations, and human conscience aligned with his self-taught process of studying Contemporary & Comparative arts and literature.

His films and projects have been exhibited, critically acclaimed, and honored in more than 70 festivals around the world. He is working on the process of improvement in cinematic movement, forms, and artistic empowerment through the research-oriented art and multidisciplinary institution his organizations, and independent collaborations in India and around the world.


STEPHANIE CHU
USA

Born and raised in Northern California, Stephanie spent most of her early career producing and editing videos as a freelancer and judging films for film festivals and high school competitions. She excels as a Producer, organizing, budgeting, and fostering collaborative team environments with effective time management. After spending three years managing media at Google and Facebook, Stephanie pursued an MBA in Hong Kong. During this time, she traveled to a dozen other countries across Asia and Europe to study business culture and was named one of the Top 100 Most Inspiring MBA Leaders worldwide.

Stephanie happily engages in any kind of creative medium. Today, she accepts commissions in videography and traditional art. She is also scheduled to release her first novel in late 2021.


ILEY JONES
AUSTRALIA

Iley Jones is an actor, director, and writer with experience in both theatre and film. She trained at the Australian Institute of music before graduating with a Bachelor of Performance in 2014. In 2016 her first play Life’s Contracts premiered as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival, where she not only wrote and directed but also filled in for the female lead role when the actress fell ill. In 2017 she wrote the award-winning short film Dead Not Dying, which took home awards for Best Screenplay, Best Director, and a variety of other awards and nominations over several Film Festivals.

In 2018 Iley was privileged enough to be a part of ATYP’s National Studio Program, learning from mentors Donna Abela, Vannessa Bates, and Ross Mueller. The following year she was accepted into ATYP’s Fresh Ink Mentorship, where she and three other writers worked with mentor Jane FitzGerald to develop two theatrical pieces for young audiences. In 2019, Iley’s second play Two Quarters Full, premiered at Flight Path Theatre. During COVID Iley has acted and directed in several filmed theatrical readings for Moontan Productions, Home Theatre – Art Online, as well as being involved in the live impro show What Day is it Anyway. Iley’s latest work Good Talk premiered in Brisbane, Australia in 2021.


EHSAN SHAHHOSSEINI
IRAN

Ehsan is a writer and director based in Iran. He studied cinema directing at the Iranian Youth Cinema Association. Eshan started his career by acting in several Iranian movies and series, then, after gaining experience in making advertising teasers, I started making films. My first film, an experimental film called The Silence Of God, was acclaimed by film critics and screened at several international festivals.

Ehsan’s first feature film, Mannequin, has been screened in several prestigious international festivals and has received awards.


MERSOLIS SCHÖNE
AUSTRIA

Mersolis Schöne is a German filmmaker, researcher, and fine artist based in Vienna, Austria. He works on philosophical and scientific topics and combines them with experimental, poetic, and artistic forms.

In 2017, he founded “Moving Thought – Film+Philosophy” to realize national and international film projects in this field. His film-based work has been shown at festivals, universities, science centers, art exhibitions, and conferences. This work also includes interactive lectures, presentations, installations, workshops with film-based exploration settings, and coffeehouse talks.


ANTHONY GHOSN
AUSTRALIA

Hello Humans! Anthony here with a bit of info about me! I’m just a guy with too much energy, hence the reason I became an actor as I’m always running on high amounts of energy. However, it’s a job that I love and have passion for which is the reason that I’m training literally non-stop for this art. I’ve been to schools such as Screenwise, TAFTA, and Sydney Actors Association (SAA) and I plan to visit many more in the future. So far I’ve been in several short films and done a few plays and musicals along the way.


MELANIE BELMONTE
SPAIN

Melanie Belmonte is a Spanish independent film producer, director, and screenwriter. Co-founder of the National Association of United Cineart Filmmakers and Artists. Founding Director of Belmonte Cine Arte. General Delegate of the International Femme Filmmakers Festival and Member of the Organizing Committee. The jury of National and International Film and Television Festivals.

She has done small forays as a supporting and figurative actress. Patron. Interviewer Writer. Painter. Amateur photographer


BILL SLOVICK
USA

Bill Slovick is an international award-winning director, producer, sound designer, and editor, and an award-nominated cinematographer and film scorer. He lives in Ballston Lake, New York with his wife June, where he is a full-time daddy to their 3-year-old son. His most recent project was editing the comedy feature film “Melt On This” in 2020, accomplished during naptimes, evenings, and weekends, soon to be available on Amazon Prime.

Bill’s first film “Below A Dark Wood” has been recognized by 113 film festivals and competitions across all 6 continents and won 19 awards as a 62-time nominee/finalist. His film has screened to live audiences in 15 different countries and across all regions of the USA. Still making the festival rounds, it has also been acquired by ShortsTV, home of the Oscar shorts program with a broadcast reach of 100 million households worldwide.
